ITC Upholds Duties on Chinese HWPW Imports

On December 1, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) voted unanimously to conclude that illegally subsidized hardwood plywood imports from China significantly injure the U.S. domestic hardwood plywood industry. The decision supported the Commerce Department’s findings that Chinese importers sold products into the U.S. at 183.36% below fair trade value and the related countervailing duties ranging from 22.98% to 194.9%. The Commission’s public report, Hardwood Plywood from China, will be available January 10. See U.S. International Trade Commission
