U.S. Housing Starts Rise in October

U.S. housing starts in October were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1.3 million, up 13.7% from the revised September estimate but 2.9% below the comparable month last year. Single-family housing starts rose 5.3% from September to 877,000.

U.S. building permits in October were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1.297 million, 5.9% above September and up 0.9% from the same month in 2016. Single-family authorizations rose 1.9% above September to 839,000.  See U.S. Census Bureau
