Consumer Sentiment Jumps in October

The U.S. consumer sentiment index for October was 101.1 points up from September’s reading of 95.1 according to the University of Michigan’s Survey of Consumers. The index was up 15.9% compared to October 2016. Consumer expectations in October rose 8.2% from the previous month to 91.3 and increased 18.9% in a year-over-year comparison.
