EPA Correlation Fix Could Become Final December 11

The EPA published today the proposed Direct Final Rule to correct the regulatory provision related to correlations for quality control testing, setting the date for effectiveness as December 11, 2017 provided EPA does not receive a negative comment by November 9.  After lobbying the agency to make these changes, CPA plans to provide supportive comments and will alert members as soon as we learn from EPA whether the amendment can proceed as a Direct Final Rule or, due to negative comment, it must revert to regular rulemaking procedures resulting in further delays.  CPA remains ready to work with its Grademark clients to proceed with TSCA Title VI certification once this correlation issue is finally addressed.  See Proposed Direct Final Rule.  More Info: Gary Heroux and Ed Deomano
