U.S. Residential Sales Skyrocket to 10-Year High

U.S. sales of new single-family homes in September were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 667,000, jumping 18.9% above August and 17% above the comparable month last year.  September’s totals were the highest level since October 2007 and the largest percentage gain since January 1992. The seasonally adjusted estimate of new homes for sale at the end of September was 279,000, representing a five-month supply at the current sales rate.  See U.S. Census Bureau
