NAM Hosts Webinars to Support Workforce Initiative
Yesterday, The Manufacturing Institute held the first of four webinars designed to provide CPA, APA and HPVA members with tools and strategies to support hiring the next generation workforce. This initial webinar centered on how to leverage Manufacturing Day (Oct. 6) to get your name out in the community and attract positive attention, all with the end goal of helping to support recruitment. Included with the presentation was a toolkit brochure that defines specific steps needed to host an effective event. The brochure also provides links to sample letters to invite school groups and officials, as well as other promotional materials. Companies that sign up to host a Manufacturing Day event on the National Association of Manufacturing’s website also get access to a promotional opportunities and a number of additional helpful materials.
There are three additional webinars scheduled for CPA members on the following topics, so please plan to attend.
Training and Retaining Your Top Talent: Apprenticeships and Beyond (October 12 @ 1 p.m. ET)
Exciting Youth about Wood Products Careers: Best Practices from the Industry (November 9 @ 1 p.m. ET)
Building Effective Connections and Programs with Community Colleges and Technical Schools (December 14 @ 1 p.m. ET)
