EPA Extends TSCA Title VI Compliance Dates

EPA issued today a prepublication notice of a Final Rule amending the compliance dates for TSCA Title VI.  Most notably, EPA has extended by one year the manufactured-by date for compliance with emissions standards, recordkeeping and labeling requirements.  The new compliance dates are as follows:

  • Manufactured-by date for emissions standards, recordkeeping and labeling: December 12, 2018

  • Import certification: March 22, 2019

  • Laminated products: March 22, 2024

The Final Rule also extends the transitional period during which CARB-approved TPCs certify TSCA Title VI panels without an EPA-approved TSCA Title VI Accrediting Body until March 22, 2019.

These changes are final and automatically become part of the TSCA Title VI regulation once published in the Federal Register, which should occur early next week.  See Prepublication Draft.  More Info: Jackson Morrill
