EPA Confirms TSCA Title VI Labeling Amendment Will Enter Into Effect on August 25th

The EPA announced on its TSCA Title VI website yesterday that the proposed amendment to allow for truthful, voluntary labeling prior to the compliance date will become effective on August 25th.  With this amendment now final, all regulated stakeholders will be able to label on or after August 25th if they meet their compliance obligations under the rule.

The EPA has still not announced whether it will proceed with an extension of the December 12, 2017 TSCA Title VI compliance date, although on its website the agency did indicate it is “working to extend the compliance dates.”  This would suggest that some extension is likely.  CPA will continue to monitor the EPA’s website and the Federal Register for any announcements regarding an extension.  See EPA Labeling Notice.  More info: Jackson Morrill
