U.S. Customer Sentiment Dips in July

The U.S. consumer sentiment index for July fell to 93.4 points from June’s reading of 95.1, according to the University of Michigan’s Survey of Consumers. Overall, the index was up 3.8% when compared to the same period in 2016. Consumer expectations in July fell 4.1% from the previous month to 80.5, but was up 3.5% in year-over-year comparison.
