Canadian Building Permits Continue to Fall in April

Canadian building permits in April were valued at $7.1 billion, down 0.2% from March and 3.3% lower than the comparable month last year. Non-residential authorizations rose 4.1% from March to $2.6 billion, and residential levels decreased over that same period by 2.5% to $4.5 billion. Commercial building permits fell 3% to $1.3 billion over the previous month.  See Statistics Canada
