Spring Meeting Attendance Outpaces 2016
Registration for CPA’s 2017 Spring Meeting, April 30–May 3, at the Grand Fiesta Americana in Los Cabos, Mexico continues to be ahead of the pace set in 2016 at this time. Nearly 230 attendees, guests and spouses representing 86 companies are already registered.
The meeting begins on Sunday evening with a welcome dinner at 7:00pm for all attendees and registered spouses. The CPA Board of Director’s meeting will be held late Tuesday afternoon just before the Chairman’s Dinner that will close out the meeting. CPA will also host its annual golf tournament at the Cabo del Sol course on Sunday, April 30 at 1pm.
CPA is pleased to announce that Brian Beaulieu, CEO of ITR Economics and keynote speaker at the CPA 2014 Fall Meeting, will return to kick things off on Monday with a global economic presentation. His talk will include short and long-term forecasts, the impact of leading economic indicators on the broader industry, as well as insights on inflation and interest rates.
Tuesday’s General Session will begin with remarks by CPA Chairman Emilio Ayub of Duraplay on the state of the North American composite wood industry, to be followed by a presentation by Kenneth Smith Ramos, Director of the Trade and NAFTA Office at the Embassy of Mexico in Washington DC. Mr. Ramos will provide insider perspectives on NAFTA and the latest on negotiations between Mexico and the U.S.
