U.S. New Home Sales Drop

U.S. sales of new single-family homes in October were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 563,000, falling 1.9% below the revised September rate, but were 17.8% higher than the comparable period in 2015.  The seasonally adjusted estimate of new homes for sale at the end of October was 246,000, representing a 5.2 month supply at the current sales rate.  See U.S. Census Bureau
