CPA’s annual Spring Meeting is the premiere business and networking event for the North American Composite panel industry, bringing together more than 300 industry leaders, spouses, and guests.  Board and Committee meetings, policy discussions, educational sessions and social events round out this three-day gathering.

MEETING Information 

Annual Golf Tournament

Sunday, April 22 at 8am.  Fee: $150 per person

The award-winning Olympic View Golf Club is a scenic 18-hole course with views of the Olympic Mountains.  The tournament begins at 8am with a shotgun start and conclude at 1pm.  Foursomes will be evenly selected based on skill level by the golf pro and announced onsite.  Golf tournament registration can be completed as part of an attendee's meeting registration. 

Fee listed is in USD and includes greens fee, on-site lunch, and transportation to and from the Fairmont Empress hotel.  Rental clubs are available for a fee of $45CDN.  Clubs must be reserved in advance when registering for the Spring Meeting and paid for onsite.  All skill levels are encouraged to participate.  Proper golf attire required, multiple layers are encouraged due to changing weather.  Steel spikes are not allowed.  More Info: Olympic View Golf Club

Meeting Program

The Spring Meeting begins with the Sunday evening Welcome Reception at the Fairmont Empress.  Attendees are invited to attend all Board and Committee meetings, which will be held throughout Monday and Tuesday of the meeting.  The Executive Committee meeting is the only closed meeting and will occur Sunday morning.  In addition to the Board and Committee meetings, the Spring Meeting will feature two general sessions with speakers covering issues of significance to the composite panel industry and also a membership luncheon featuring a presentation.  Additionally, the meeting will  include numerous opportunities dedicated to networking including breakfasts, mid-morning breaks, and a reception on Monday evening.  The Board of Directors meeting will be held late afternoon on Tuesday, just before the Spring Meeting concludes with the Chairman’s Reception & Dinner on Tuesday evening.

R.E.D. Educational Foundation Scholarship Program

The Robert E. Dougherty Educational Foundation provides scholarships to college students in industry-related fields of study.  The Foundation is funded by CPA and generous donations from member companies.  Please consider adding a $25 donation to the Foundation as part of your meeting registration.

Please note: Deadline for registration cancellation refunds is April 10 minus a 25% administrative fee. Registrations may be transferred to a colleague at any time with written notice to CPA.

Rates for attendees (in USD) are as follows:

  • Attendee with RED Donation - $750.00
  • Attendee (no donation) - $725.00
  • Spouse - $200.00

Attandee registration includes all CPA program events. The Annual Golf Tournament may be added for an additional fee. 

Spouse registration includes attendance to the Welcome Reception, Spouse & Friend Breakfast, and the Chairman's Reception and Dinner. Spouses may participate in the Annual Golf Tournament for an additional fee.

Hotel Information

The Fairmont Empress is located on Victoria's picturesque Inner Harbour, steps away from Victoria's downtown district. 

CPA's hotel block is currently filled. If you have not yet reserved housing, the follwing options are available:

  • CPA's Waiting List:  Those on the waiting list are not guaranteed a room or a specific rate but can possibly acquire a room at CPA's group rates in the chance of a cancellation.  Please complete the below form and email it to Madi del Rio to be placed on CPA's Waiting List.  


  • Book Offsite Housing: Attendees may book reservations offsite at a surrounding hotel without penalty. CPA does not have room blocks at any surrounding hotels and is not responsible for any bookings offsite. Attendees can choose to remain on CPA's waiting list in addition to securing offsite housing and will be notified if an opening at the Fairmont Empress occurs. If you have chosen to stay offsite, please notify Madi del Rio that you have secured housing.

Travel Information

The Fairmont Empress is accessible by ferry from Seattle and Vancouver and through several direct flights to Victoria International Airport (Sydney, BC). The airport is a 35-minute drive from the Fairmont. The hotel does not offer airport shuttles.
