New Home Demand Up in Q2

The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) second quarter Housing Trends Report reported that new construction demand grew to 21%, up two percentage points from the first quarter. Buyers are increasingly interested in new construction as availability has improved, resulting in a decline for the existing homes market. The West saw the largest growth in demand, up six percentage points to 30%. See NAHB
