The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) recently released a new study analyzing the potential economic impact of proposed corporate tax changes associated with the Biden Administration’s “American Jobs Plan.” The study concludes that the suggested changes, including raising the corporate tax rate from 21% to 28%, would harm the U.S. economy and impact long-term job creation efforts in manufacturing. The key finding was that over a million U.S. jobs would be lost within two years after implementation, which would increase to an average of 600,000 jobs each year over the next decade. An executive summary of the report along with the full study are available on NAM’s website. See NAM Study
