NAM Responds to Biden’s Congressional Address

The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), which hosts the Council of Manufacturing Associations of which CPA is a member, responded last night to President Biden’s address before a joint session of Congress.  NAM expressed a willingness to work with the administration on a bipartisan basis to address infrastructure investment and other objectives included in the recent proposal put forth by the President.  The organization, however, expresses concern over some of the proposed changes to the corporate tax structure and provisions in the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act, which would help facilitate collective bargaining.  The NAM press release also contains links to proposals put forth by the association addressing infrastructure investment, climate change and other matters.  CPA will continue to monitor these policy proposals and any related developments in the 117th Congress.  See NAM
