Seasonally adjusted shipments for all U.S. manufacturing industries in April were $590.2 billion, improving 1.0% from March. Wood product shipments decreased 0.4% in April to $13.4 billion compared to the prior month. Shipments of furniture and related products declined 0.4% from March to $6.8 billion.
New orders for all U.S. manufacturing were up 0.7% from March to $588.2 billion in April. Furniture and related product orders totaled $6.8 billion, shrinking 1.2% from March. See U.S. Census Bureau
