Mexico Manufacturing Index Remains Low in March

The March seasonally adjusted S&P Global Mexico Manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) was 46.5, decreasing 1.1 points from February and marking the ninth consecutive month below the 50 no-change mark. Manufacturers reported declines in demand, employment, and new orders amid tariff declarations.

The PMI index comprises five sub-indices tracking changes in new orders, output, employment, suppliers’ delivery times, and stocks of raw materials. A reading above 50 indicates growth, while below represents a contraction. See S&P Global
