The May seasonally adjusted S&P Global Mexico Manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) increased 1.9 points from April to 49.6 but remained below 50 for the ninth straight month. Manufacturers reported a moderate decline in production but an increase in sales for the first time since October 2025.
The PMI index comprises five sub-indices tracking changes in new orders, output, employment, suppliers’ delivery times, and stocks of raw materials. A reading above 50 indicates growth. See S&P Global
