Mexico Leads Latin American Hotel Construction in Q1

The first quarter pipeline for hotel construction in Latin America totaled 604 projects representing 104,275 rooms, dropping 14% and 16% respectively, compared to the same period in 2020. These are the lowest counts for both rooms and projects since second quarter 2012. Mexico led the region in construction with 215 projects with 37,786 rooms. See Lodging Econometrics
