Seasonally adjusted shipments for all U.S. manufacturing industries in May were $599.4 billion, 0.1% higher than April. Wood product shipments fell 0.6% in May to $13.6 billion, while furniture and related products shipments grew 1.1% from April to $7.6 billion.
New orders for all U.S. manufacturing were $642.0 billion in May, improving 8.2% from the prior month. Furniture and related product orders totaled $7.5 billion, dipping 0.9% from April. See U.S. Census Bureau
