Seasonally adjusted shipments for all U.S. manufacturing industries in May rose 0.3% from April to $572.6 billion. Wood product shipments were up 0.2% in May to $13.3 billion compared to the prior month. Shipments of furniture and related products grew 0.5% from April to $6.8 billion.
New orders for all U.S. manufacturing improved 0.3% from April to $578 billion in May. Furniture and related product orders climbed 0.6% to $6.8 billion. See U.S. Census Bureau
