U.S. residential furniture factory orders in May rose 11% from April but dipped 1% from the same month last year. Year-to-date orders dropped 3% compared to the same period in 2024.
Furniture shipments were unchanged from April but fell 2% below May 2024. Shipments decreased 1% through the first five months of 2025 compared to last year. Backlogs increased 2% from the prior month but were 10% lower than May 2024. See Smith Leonard
