U.S. residential furniture factory orders in May decreased 41% from the comparable month in 2021. Year-to-date orders fell 25% over the same period last year.
Furniture shipments grew 10% from May 2021 and rose 7% year-to-date. With shipments outpacing new orders, backlogs declined 4% from May 2021. See Smith Leonard
