May Canadian Manufacturing Down

Seasonally adjusted Canadian wood product sales in May were $4.4 billion (CAD), down 2.1% from April and 16.3% lower than the comparable month in 2021. Sales of furniture and related products totaled $1.4 billion, rising 3.2% from April and jumping 29.5% over May 2021. Canadian manufacturing sales for all industries decreased 2.0% from April to $71.6 billion but soared 22.1% from May 2021.  See Statistics Canada
