Marginal Dip in October U.S. Consumer Confidence

U.S. consumer confidence registered at 94.6 in October, down 1.0 point from the adjusted September reading, according to The Conference Board Consumer Confidence Index. The index measuring current business and labor market conditions improved 1.8 points in October to 129.3. The short-term outlook index for the income, business, and labor markets fell 2.9 points from September to 71.5, remaining below the 80-mark for the ninth straight month, indicating a potential recession.
