U.S. construction spending in March was estimated at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $2.1 trillion, dipping 0.2% from February but 9.6% higher than the same month in 2023.
Private construction spending was $1.6 trillion, declining 0.5% from February. Residential totals were $884.3 billion in March, down 0.7% from the previous month. Non-residential spending was $716.5 billion, decreasing 0.2% from February. See U.S. Census Bureau
