June U.S. Manufacturing Shipments Strengthen

Seasonally adjusted shipments for all U.S. manufacturing industries in June increased 0.1% from May to $573.9 billion. Wood product shipments were down 0.4% in June to $13.3 billion compared to the prior month. Shipments of furniture and related products grew 0.7% from May to $6.9 billion.

New orders for all U.S. manufacturing improved 2.3% from May to $592.0 billion in June. Furniture and related product orders climbed 1.0% to $6.8 billion. See U.S. Census Bureau
