U.S. consumer confidence in June registered at 98.7, falling 4.5 points from May, according to The Conference Board Consumer Confidence Index.  The index measuring current business and labor market conditions, dropped slightly to 147.1 from 147.4 in May.  The short-term outlook for income, business and the labor market decreased 7.3 points from May to 66.4.
