June Architectural Billings Decline; Inquiries Improve

The American Institute of Architects (AIA) Economics & Market Research Group’s Architecture Billings Index (ABI) decreased 0.4 points to 46.8 in June, and design contracts rose 0.1 points to 46.0. Project inquiries were above 50 for the second consecutive month, while billings were below 50 in all sectors and regions except the South, with a reading of 50.6. A score above 50 indicates growth.
