July U.S. Manufacturing Shipments Drop

Seasonally adjusted shipments for all U.S. manufacturing industries in July declined 0.9% from June to $545.5 billion. Wood product shipments dipped 0.5% in July to $12.8 billion compared to the prior month. Shipments of furniture and related products rose 0.5% from June to $6.19 billion.

New orders for all U.S. manufacturing sank 1.0% from June to $548.5 billion.  Furniture and related product orders in July grew 1.7% from the previous month to $6.26 billion.  See U.S. Census Bureau
