U.S. residential furniture factory orders in July increased 6% from June and 13% from the same month last year. Year-to-date orders were 1% lower than the same period in 2024.
Furniture shipments were 2% below June but were 3% higher than July 2024. Shipments decreased 1% through the first seven months of 2025 compared to last year. Backlogs rose 2% from the prior month but decreased 4% from July 2024. See Smith Leonard
