Canadian building construction investment dipped 0.9% from December 2023 to $19.7 billion (CAD) in January, with residential construction spending decreasing 1.4% to $13.6 billion. Seasonally adjusted single-family construction spending was 2.1% higher than December at $6.7 billion. Multi-unit levels were $6.9 billion, 4.5% lower in January.
