Interior Design Billings Unchanged in September

icon of a graphThe Interior Design Billings Index (IDBI), derived from a survey of the American Society of Interior Design (ASID) member-owned firms, was unchanged at 52.2 in September for the third consecutive month. Any score over 50 indicates growth. Index levels for firms in the South and Midwest expanded to 58.0 and 50.5, respectively, while the West and North remained in negative territory despite some growth.

The index measuring new project inquiries in September fell 4.9 points to 52.7, while the three-month average remained steady at 53.5. The six-month outlook slipped 3.9 points from August to 54.2, though remained in positive territory. See ASID
