The Interior Design Billings Index (IDBI), derived from a survey of the American Society of Interior Design (ASID) member-owned firms, rose 2.9 points from June to 51.1 in July, indicating continuing recovery from previous COVID-19-related declines. Any score over 50 indicates growth. Indexes for all geographic regions grew in July, but all regions remained in negative growth territory.
The index measuring inquiries in July fell from a growth position, falling 5.3 points from June to 47.7. Very poor conditions are expected in the future, with the six-month outlook plummeting 15.2 points to 39.2 in July. See ASID
