Interior Design Billings Decline in October

Interior design billings from the American Society of Interior Design (ASID) member-owned firms decreased more than two points in October, bringing the Interior Design Billings Index (IDBI) score to 52.7. Any score over 50 indicates growth. The South led the three-month average at 56.1 followed by the Midwest at 55.0, while the West and Northeast entered contraction territory. The October index measuring inquiries decreased 2.7 points to 57.2, and the six-month outlook score dropped 2.9 points to 58.6, the lowest point since December 2020. See ASID
