The Interior Design Billings Index (IDBI), derived from a survey of the American Society of Interior Design (ASID) member-owned firms, rose 7.9 points in June to 49.2, indicating continuing recovery from previous COVID-19-related declines. Any score over 50 indicates growth. Indexes for all geographic regions grew in June, however the Northeast’s slight improvement still hovers near all-time lows.
The index measuring inquiries in June moved into a growth position, rising 3.2 points from May to 52.3. Looking forward, the six-month outlook fell 1.9 points to 54, though still showing expansion. See ASID
