The meeting program for the CPA Fall Meeting in Leesburg, VA will feature a strong slate of presenters speaking on a range of important and timely topics.
A peer-led panel “Navigating Business Beyond a Pandemic from the CPA Member Perspective” will include Erik Christensen, Swiss Krono; Bernhard Ebner, Egger; Tammy Polovic, Omnova Solutions; and Elliott Savage, Seemac. CPA Vice Chairman, Steve Carroll of Arauco will moderate this session of industry executives that will cover how the pandemic impacted business operations, solutions that were implemented to meet demand and post-COVID expectations through 2022.
A panel of industry association executives will discuss the “Market Outlook for Composite Panel Customers.” Featured panelists include Betsy Natz, Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers (KCMA); Dave Panning, Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association (BIFMA); and Bill Perdue, American Home Furnishings Alliance (AHFA). The macro-level discussion will focus on how these important industry segments plan to adjust to new market conditions created by the pandemic and share expectations for the future.
Rounding out the presentation will be an update on the efforts of the Wood Industry Resource Collaborative (WIRC) which is a coalition of eleven wood industry trade associations, including CPA, aimed at perpetuating the long-term growth of the wood industry by sustaining an engaged workforce. Laura Griffin with Industrial, the public relations firm leading the initiative, will provide an update on WIRC’s efforts to-date and plans to continue to provide a collection of tools and resources for the wood industry to attract and retain employees, while improving the awareness and perception of the industry.
Registration for CPA’s 2021 Fall Meeting, October 17-19, at the Lansdowne Resort in Leesburg, VA is now available along with a schedule of events.
