February U.S. Consumer Confidence Improves but Remains Soft

U.S. consumer confidence registered at 91.2 in February, up 2.2 points from the adjusted January reading, according to The Conference Board Consumer Confidence Index. The index measuring current business and labor market conditions dipped 1.8 points in February to 120. The short-term outlook index for the income, business, and labor markets increased 4.8 points to 72.0, but remained below the 80-mark for the thirteenth straight month. See The Conference Board
