February Construction Spending Increases Year-over-Year

U.S. construction spending in February was estimated at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $2.1 trillion, declining 0.3% from January but 10.7% higher than the same month in 2023.

Private construction spending was $1.6 trillion, mostly unchanged from January. Residential totals were $901.1 billion in February, up 0.7% from the previous month. Non-residential spending was $716.0 billion, decreasing 0.9% from January. See U.S. Census Bureau
