February Canadian building construction investment totaled $23.0 billion (CAD), declining 2.1% from January but increasing 1.8% from the comparable month last year. Residential construction spending decreased 3.3% from January to $16.0 billion, while non-residential totals were up 0.7% to $7.0 billion. Seasonally adjusted single-family investment was 1.1% higher than in January at $7.4 billion, while multi-unit levels fell 6.9% to $8.5 billion in February. See Statistics Canada
