EUDR Delay Withdrawn

On October 21, the European Union (EU) Environment Commission proposed a series of simplifications to the Regulation on Deforestation-free Products (EUDR). The new proposal is primarily targeted at small operators and does not include a recommendation to delay the overall implementation of the regulation by one year, as was reported in @the edge on October 3. For most operators, the EUDR is still scheduled to enter into force on December 30, 2025, with a proposed six-month enforcement grace period until June 30, 2026. See EUDR Proposal.
