EPA Proposes Amendments to the Plywood and Composite Wood Products Regulations

On May 5, the U.S. EPA proposed amendments to the National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) for Plywood and Composite Wood Products (PCWP) facilities. These updates modify the original rule finalized in 2004. The proposal includes emission limits and work practices for hazardous air pollutants from various process units at new and existing sources. CPA is currently working with its coalition partners on a detailed proposal review. Comments on the proposal will be due 45 days after publication in the Federal Register, which is expected in the next few weeks. EPA is under a court-ordered deadline to publish a final rule by November 16, 2023. See PCWP NESHAP Proposed Amendments and Fact Sheet. More Info: Kevin Warkentin
