U.S. sales of new single-family homes in December 2024 were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 698,000, increasing 3.6% from November and 6.7% higher than the comparable month in 2023. Year-end sales rose 2.5% from 2023 to 683,000.
The seasonally adjusted estimate of new homes for sale through November was 494,000, indicating an 8.5-month supply at the existing sales rate. See U.S. Census Bureau
