December Canadian Wood Product Sales Down

Seasonally adjusted Canadian wood product sales in December 2023 were $3.2 billion (CAD), declining 1.0% from November and 2.8% lower than the comparable month in 2022. Sales of furniture and related products totaled $1.3 billion, decreasing 0.5% from November and falling 1.0% over November 2022. Canadian manufacturing sales for all industries were $71.2 billion, mostly unchanged from December 2022 but dipping 0.7% from November. See Statistics Canada
