CPA Publishes Revised ANSI Particleboard Standard

CPA is pleased to announce that the revised ANSI A208.1-2022 Particleboard Standard is now available.  This latest version supersedes the 2016 standard and includes the addition of the U.S. EPA TSCA Title VI formaldehyde regulation as a requirement, a more comprehensive definition of particleboard, updated ASTM standards, corrected referenced footnotes in ASTM D1037, as well as minor editorial corrections and improvements.

CPA is the Standard Development Organization (SDO) managing consensus for this standard through the use of a canvass body reflecting a balance of producers, users, and general interest groups in accordance with the American National Standards Institute’s (ANSI) Essential Requirements for Due Process. Final approval of the standard was granted by ANSI’s Board of Standards Review on June 22, 2022.  CPA will share this updated standard with regulatory bodies and other related organizations.  CPA Grademark representatives will work with clients over the coming months to ensure a timely transition to this updated standard.  CPA wishes to thank all stakeholders that participated in the review and balloting of the updated particleboard standard. See Standards.  More Info: Gary Heroux
