CPA Comments on Proposed Amendments to Canadian Formaldehyde Regulations

On August 31, CPA submitted final comments on the proposed amendments to the Canadian Formaldehyde Emissions from Composite Wood Products Regulations (CANFER). While the proposed amendments substantially address issues previously raised by CPA and align CANFER closer with TSCA Title VI, the comments expressed concerns on some aspects, including the design of the proposed Attestation system for producers of component parts and finished goods. CPA will continue to work with Health Canada over the coming months to address all concerns as the regulations are finalized. See CPA Comments. More Info: Kevin Warkentin
