Consumer Confidence Weakens in October

U.S. consumer confidence in October registered at 102.5, decreasing 5.3 points from September, according to The Conference Board Consumer Confidence Index.  The index measuring current business and labor market conditions dropped 11.3 points to 138.9 in October.  The short-term outlook index for income, business and the labor market shrunk 1.4 points from September to 78.1.
