Consumer Confidence Softens in June

U.S. consumer confidence registered at 100.4 in June, down 0.9 points from the adjusted May reading, according to The Conference Board Consumer Confidence Index. The index measuring current business and labor market conditions rose 0.7 points to 141.5 in June. The short-term outlook index for the income, business, and labor markets decreased 1.9 points from May to 73.0.
