Consumer Confidence Highest in Two Years

U.S. consumer confidence in January was 114.8, increasing 6.8 points from the previous month and the highest since December 2021, according to The Conference Board Consumer Confidence Index. The index measuring current business and labor market conditions grew 14.1 points to 161.3 in January. The short-term outlook index for the income, business, and labor markets rose 1.9 points from December to 83.8.
